glare
suburban poetry
09/2010 - production and digital distribution by alstar-music
Glare's first long player sounds incredibly honest and intense with
twelve tracks somewhere between raw alternative-rock and soft
singer/songwriter ballads. It is frontman Timo Scharf's intoxicating
voice and guitarist Dennis Czerner's charismatic play that give the
album its frame. The band's witty, original, fresh and spirited but
always focussed on the song. Every mood and attitude's covered,
none exploited.

jeremy morton
12/2009 (US) 01/2010 (DE)
Bozeman (MT) based Jeremy Morton releases his debut album, the result
of an intense intercontinental collaboration entitled "progressive
country" by alstar-musician Stefan Stern. Stefan as well as his brother
Alexander, who arranged and produced the album, are just a few musicians
to leave their mark on the record. Led by Jeremy's soft, folky voice
and his classic guitar playing, the rich and powerful debut ranges from
rock to ballads, driving and playful at times, all american and yet with
that somewhat european edge.

pictures of an exhibition
02/2009
Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky is one of the
most popular pieces in the piano canon. For the past years it
has been part of Stefan Stern's live repertoire. In 2008 he recorded
the piece in Berlin - a wonderful debut recording with a direct
and defined sound. Stefan Stern studied piano in Hannover and today
lives in Bozeman, Montana, US.

seven
it is what it is
04/2004
Seven's Debut is a wonderful lyrical album with twelve very
intense songs. The music glides smooth between styles that
you normally woudn't expect working together. "It is what
it is" can be a 70's Rock-Album, a smoky Jazz-bar gig, a
classical piano recording or mainstream radio station. The
more you listen to it, the more you will discover. Seven's
music is deep. The more you hear it, the more you love it.
